total boat varnish review
I'm not a boat owner. i used this product on a painting on wood that i wanted to hang on the side of my garage. put on 3 coats of totalboat marine epoxy and then 3 coats of lust varnish. looks great and i think i could throw the piece in the pool, ride around on it, pull it out and hang it and it would be undamaged.. New! for a matte finish with greater clarity and depth, lust is also available in a high gloss & matte 2-quart combo kit that includes 1 quart of lust high gloss varnish and 1 quart of lust matte varnish. apply the high gloss first to create build coats that showcase the beauty of the wood grain, then overcoat with a couple of coats of matte to. After top coating with traditional amber varnish it looked better but still lacked the depth of a traditional varnish. the best part of this product is the re-sealable and easy pour packaging. it would be great if traditional varnishes could be sold this way although i doubt that it would prevent skinning over.. 
total boat varnish review Varnish is an important coating for beautiful wood as it protects it from the elements and enhances its grain and appearance. a bad varnish job doesn't take long to be broken down by the harsh uv. Second, this thin varnish primer also bonds to the wood and creates a level foundation for finish coats of varnish to bond to, so they don’t lift in large sections later. keep in mind that because plywood is so porous, it may require 3 coats of totalboat wood sealer..
