These tier 1 shipyards can only make rafts/ferry and is generally not worth building them since any tier 2 shipyard can build the same stuff that tier 1 shipyards can build. if you absolutely have no plans for a fishing boat and just want a ferry to drive around and explore, tier 1 shipyard will do just fine.. Epheria sailboat, bdo rowboat and other boats. as of the writing of this article there are 4 different kinds of private boats, with several more subcategories and also some boats that are exclusive to guilds.for the boats everyone can create, there is a raft, a rowboat, a fishing boat and the almighty epheria sailboat.. Bdo epheria sailboat is known as the best t2 barter and trade ship. it isn’t top tier anymore, since the great expedition update, but it still beats many beginner tier ships. it is the easiest t2 ship to obtain, but still takes plenty of planning and work/cost to obtain one!. 
boat building bdo Bdo cog ship was introduced with the great expedition expansion. it’s a temporary boat that excels at speed, but lacks good inventory space and combat ability compared to higher tier ships. this is an easy to obtain ship via crafting or quest that is a good starter ship for beginners. two unique appearances, but same ship stats. The epheria sailboat is the largest boat a player can build outside a guild and creating one is a daunting task. it is both faster than the fishing boat and can be equipped with cannons, which gives it a distinct advantage over the fishing boat should you run into any sea monsters when navigating the sea between calpheon and magoria..
